The MostFit SYN Rings require the user to engage more core and stability muscles due to the instability created by the weight plates that move, swing and bounce in multiple directions.
The overhead squat with the MostFit SYN Rings provides all of the benefits of a regular overhead squat with an added twist. The SYN Rings create a stability challenge as the hanging weight plates move in all directions including vertical. This helps to build core and stabilizer strength and also helps to highlight possible imbalances in the hips and glutes. Use the MostFit SYN Rings in the overhead squat to help analyze your athletes movement and develop a more precise practice.
In this video Andrew Gavigan and Amanda Ruller share some pointers on performing an efficient overhead squat. Depress the scapula in order to maintain a stable overhead position. If you are having a hard time keeping the bar above your center line, externally rotate your legs and open your feet more for a wider base. this exercises goes a long way for strengthening your gluten, shoulders, quads, back, and core.
The MostFit SYN Rings are sold as a pair and each one can hold up to a 45-lb weight plate. If you want to add more weight to the bar, simply stack the bar with additional plates or add another pair of SYN Rings side by side to each other.
